MiaouIRC Website is back !

It has been nearly 2 months that the website was down.
The server that originally hosts the site, has crashed, probably, an alimentation problem.
Now, it is back in a new dedicated server with a 100Mb/s link, that to OVH.

I have just found the real problem about the low transfer rate in DCC SEND :
The buffer was just too low ! (1024 bytes)
I have set the buffer to 10240 bytes and it works better ...

Some bug appeared in JRE 1.3 in the Linux systems

For anyone who I have tried the DCC send in the Linux Systems, you can certainly noticed that the transfer rate is very low ...
If so, I have encountered the same problem too (I am running MiaouIRC using Debian/GNU Linux 3.0 with Blackdown JRE 1.3 .
I have tried to correct many things, search for any clues in the Web ... but without any success ...
So I have just tried the JRE 1.4.1 ... and It works greatly ...
So I recommend any Linux users to install the JRE 1.4.1 ... (sob)
Oddly, the DCC works great with Windows 98/2000, JRE 1.3 ...
Still, I'm using the Java 1.3 API documentation for future release in order to maintain compatibility from version 1.3 to later ..

Seul petit regret, y a plus d'icône...
Heureusement que j'avais extrait celle-ci des versions précédentes ;)
